Learn To Cook Online
I have 2 kids and my wife just got an evening job which basically means I need to learn how to cook, and fast. I know nothing about cooking so if anybody knows any websites that can take me through some basic steps and recipes that will be helpful please let me know.
I would like to become a chef as a career, i am currently in highschool, but im starting to focus myself on careers and subjects ill need to choose to become a chef but first id like to know things like
whats involved in becoming a chef?
what subjects ill need to take and can they be taken online for free?
what is the average salary?
how many years will it take to become a proper chef?
what kinds of things do i need to know about?
and is there a way to learn about cooking online, like everything to do with thus career, can i learn it online?
what degrees do you need?
i know that you do need to know these subjects
-food tech
-health
-mathmatics (decimals, fractions, measurments!)
-home economics
-science
-writing
-public speaking
-bussiness studies
what can get me a head start on my career, and if so can it possibly be something online and for free??

I’ve been wanting to learn to cook. Many recipes I find online ask me to use a "dutch oven" to cook the food in. What is a dutch oven? What does it look like? Do you use it on the stove top or put it in the oven? Or is it a stand-alone cooker like a crock pot with it’s own settings?

Hi, my 12 year old daughter would like to take up cooking, she has been watching me bake, and cook dinner for about 2 months with ought saying a word, then she asked me if I could teach her to cook, I though it would be a great way to bond, so I was wondering if there is a website that alloys you to cook online — like a virtual game that she can play so she can learn how to cook and learn responsibilities and learn how to take care of a fire or something, before she uses a real oven or stove, then I can teach her beyond that.
I don’t really think there is something like that – but I was kind of hoping somebody knew a game like that, thanks!
