Learn To Cook DVD

I want to learn to cook so I can stop eating fast foods. I’ve quit eating fast foods so much lately that I’m having to settle for chips and snacks because I don’t know how to cook, and don’t want to spend money on pizza.

I also want to cook some times for my family. My parents work so hard and I see by the time they get home they’re always so tired from work. So I want to prepare some good food for them. Also maybe I’d like to cook for my brother and sisters so they don’t have to always eat fast food as well. What’s a good book to pick up cooking skills or maybe an instructional DVD. Is there any websites? Any feedback is welcomed, thanks!

I’m a college student so I would prefer if the cost is not too high for the courses. The reason I want to cook is to have my girlfriend eat healthy food instead of eating out or eating fast food.

I am only 17 and had to move overseas away from my family pretty quickly to take up a job opportunity. They didn’t teach me how to cook, or how to do a many of things in fact lol it’s been a big learning curve. Anyway, For the past 9 months I’ve been here I’ve just been going to restaurants, subway, microwave dinners, noodles, eating at a friends – or not eating dinner at all!

Can anybody tell me a website where I can get some BASIC cooking step by steps.
Even cooking sausages, fish, potatoes, spaghetti Bologna’s, meat patties, and steaming veges etc. Just the baby steps to start off with.

I would prefer easier/faster to prepare meals since I’m working/travelling 12-14hrs a day. Or meals that can also be used as lunches for work and cost efficient.

I would like to give a big big thank you for those who do help me out here, guess you don’t realize how amazing your parents are until they aren’t around to help! :)

I’m 17 and still don’t know how to cook, haha.

I’m a big foodie and I want to learn to make good, authentic Oaxacan food. I want to go spend about a month or so over there. Ive looked for cooking schools and have found only day courses. Any ideas on how to go about this? Wheres a good place to stay for a long period of time? Restaurants to try? Markets to visit? Thank you.
