Kids Cook Book

I am searching for a book about recipes that are made by kids. I thought the name was “Meatballs & Pasgetti”. It had recipes like “put the dishtowel in the turkey and cook for three days in the oven until its done. Eat with other stuff like cranberries Enjoy”

I read that new question about childhood books only to not remember mine. One was about some guy who hated to do the dishes so ate out of everything he could before having to wash them.Another was about some bear (not pooh) there was something about an alarm clock and bees,I don’t remember it well.the last one was about some old woman cooking pancakes.Does anyone know these old kid books?

Im looking for some activities to go along with the following countries for preschoolers/school aged kids (two of them, age 3/6):

Mexico

Japan

Africa (as a whole continent, not any specific country)

Italy

Australia

Activities I’m looking for are games, cooking ideas (for picky kids), arts and crafts, and books… Thanks in advance.

I just thought of this off the top of my head, sort of because of a book I was reading. Now this story is completely different from the book but things that were happening in the book gave me this idea. Of course, I will definitely build upon this idea, because it’s only a start.

So I thought of a beyond imaginable wealthy family consisting of a mother and father and 3 or 4 kids. The mother hires a new cook/maid/nanny (something of the sort.) Little beknown to any members of the family, this new servant (a woman) plans to murder the mother and steal her place as the mother of the children and wife of the father. Now, this isn’t an affair between the father and this servant, but a plot of the servant to be become wealthy, famous and be happy.

I am not sure what is going to happen but I just wanted to see if it would interesting to any readers.
So what do you think? Thanks!
–Oh and if you are going to tell me that if it’s based on the book, then don’t bother. Just look up the book, Family Storms by V.C. Andrews and you will see they are nothing alike. A character’s evilness and jealousy sparked an inspiration for my idea.

Life is like an ocean voyage and our bodies are the ships
And without a moral compass we would all be cast adrift
So to keep us on our bearings, the Lord gave us a gift
And like most gifts you get, it was a book

I only read one book, but it’s a good book, don’t you know
I act the way I act because the Good Book tells me so
If I wanna know how to be good, it’s to the Good Book that I go
‘Cos the Good Book is a book and it is good and it’s a book

I know the Good Book’s good because the Good Book says it’s good
I know the Good Book knows it’s good because a really good book would
You wouldn’t cook without a cookbook and I think it’s understood
You can’t be good without a Good Book ‘cos it’s good and it’s a book
And it is good for cookin’

I tried to read some other books, but I soon gave up on that
The paragraphs ain’t numbered and they complicate the facts
I can’t read Harry Potter ‘cos they’re worshipping false gods and that
And Dumbledore’s a homo and that’s bad, ‘cos it’s not good

Morality is written there in simple white and black
I feel sorry for you heathens, got to think about all that
Good is good and evil’s bad and goats are good and pigs are crap
You’ll find which one is which in the Good Book, ‘cos it’s good
And it’s a book, and it’s a book

I had a cat, she gave birth to a litter
The kittens were adorable and they made my family laugh
But as they grew they started misbehavin’
So I drowned the little fµckers in the bath
When the creatures in your care start being menaces
The answers can be found right there in Genesis!
Chapter 6, Verse 5-7!

Swing your partner by the hand
Have a baby if you can
But if the voices your head
Say to sacrifice your kid
To satisfy your loving God’s
Fetish for dead baby blood
It’s simple fate, the Book demands
So raise that knife up in your hand!

Before the Good Book made us good, there was no good way to know
If a thing was good or not that good or kind of touch and go
So God decided he’d give writing allegoric prose a go
And so he wrote a book and it was generally well-received

The Telegraph said, "This God is reminiscent of the Norse."
The Times said, "Kind of turgid, but I liked the bit with horses."
The Mail said, "Lots of massacres, a violent tour de force.
If you only read one book this year, then this one is a book
And it is good, and it’s a book!"

Swing your daughter by the hand
But if she gets raped by a man
And refuses then to marry him
Stone her to death!

If you just close your eyes and block your ears
To the accumulated knowledge of the last two thousand years
Then morally, guess what? You’re off the hook
And thank Christ you only have to read one book

Just because the book’s contents
Were written generations hence
By hairy desert-dwelling gents
Squatting in their dusty tents
Just because what Heaven said
Was said before they’d leavened bread
Just ‘cos Jesus couldn’t read
Doesn’t mean that we should need
When manipulating human genes
To alleviate pain and fight disease
When deciding whether it’s wrong or right
To help the dyin’ let go of life
Or stop a pregnancy when it’s
Just a tiny blastocyst
There’s no reason why we should take a look
At any other book
But the Good Book
‘Cause it’s good
And it’s a book
And it’s a book
And it’s quite good!

Good is good and evil’s bad
And kids get killed when God gets mad
And you’d better take a good look
At the Good Book
So, what do you think?

I’m 20, my dad and I have known this family for about 12 years total. The couple have recently divorced. They didn’t have a ton of money. She is currently unemployed (part of the reason I want to spoil these kids on their birthdays—she doesn’t have a lot of money). They are in the middle of a divorce.

The couple has 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy. The girls are turning 6 and the boy is turning 5.

This is what I bought them for their birthday. Too many gifts, or acceptable? I have a slight tendency to overdo it sometimes when buying for other people. I just really like giving. It’s not always store bought stuff either. I just like finding reasons to give someone a surprise, or a gift, or make them some dinner (either at my & my fiance’s apartment or help out with the meal or dessert at other peoples houses when a meal is involved). Just makes me feel really good. It’s how I am. I don’t want to make (the man/father/husband no longer lives with the mom & the kids) her & her children feel bad because they don’t have a lot of money right now, but, because they don’t have a lot of money I really wanted to spoil the kids with a few extra gifts just because the mom (her name is Maria) can’t afford anything other than to pay the bills and some food.

This is what I bought the kids. Did I over do it?

They each get their own "personal" goodiebag present with: a coloring fuzzy poster, a child’s chefs hat & apron (they all LOVE to help their mom cook!), a tiny teddy bear with their name on it, and a mickey or minnie bath towel w/ hood.

I also got them 6 gifts they could share. I got them a
1) bracelet-making kit (all of them lOVE to make jewlery—the little boy made me earings last time! ♥ and ended up using up all of their previous kid-jewlery kit)
2) a coloring book w/ stickers attached,
3) a coloring poster of farm animals because the kids all love animals and said they one day want to have a farm so poor kids can come and play with animals
4) a ‘science kit’ that makes gummy bugs
5) a little briefcase of markers/crayons/pencil crayons
6) and finally a kit with three mugs inside so the kids can each paint their own mug

Did I buy them too much? Do you think their mom (Maria) will be uncomfortable? I just LOVE those kids so very much. They’re such sweethearts!

My fiancee, my dad and I are getting together with Maria & her three children next Friday for a mini party, just the 7 of us. When we go, I wanted to bring a lemon pie & perhaps a casserole dish too (just so she doesn’t feel so pressured to make a huge meal).

For years I have wanted to write and publish a book and alot of my teachers in high school have said I have the talent and should give it ago. I have struggled for years with writing fiction, always end up hitting a wall in a story and not being able to finish it however I have come up with an idea for something non fictional that may actually help people.
Basically I am young, I am 20 years old but since moving out of home nearly 2 years ago and having to learn to take care of myself I have learnt so much about the world and life in general. I am often finding myself giving advice on financial matters, relationships and life in general to my friends and co workers who are starting to branch out on their own now so I thought why not write a book about it.
Basically the book will cover everything young people need to know about moving out of home and learning to cope on their own as there really is alot more to life without parental support than young people think. I will cover such topics as: living in harmony with housemates, tips to keep on top of housework, organization tips, caring for a pet on your own, organizing your finances, tips to successfully gain a lease or mortgage and am maybe considering throwing in a few quick and easy recipes of my own so that kids can start cooking and not relying on take away.
So this is my idea what are all your thoughts? Anything else I should include? Would you buy or reccomend this book to someone?

Thanks guys!
Thanks Robert James W – I will definately be including some of my own experiences and lessons for people.

Thanks Hannah – I do love it and even if not many people buy it just getting it out there will be satisfaction for me.
Glad to hear its getting a good response already!
