How can I convince my husband to slow down on fast food?

My husband is constantly eating pizza or burgers….any fast food. I keep trying to tell him that he needs to slow down but he thinks he is invincible and says "Don’t worry. I’ll always be healthy". I eat less fast food than him and my cholesterol is super high. I just want him to be healthy and not have anything bad happen to him. How can I convince him? I try to cook healthy at home but it doesn’t stop him.

Does any one know of a web site that compares fast food to healthy home cooked food? My daugther is doing a paper for health class and has to do comparisons (i.e., a cheesevurger to a peanut butter sandwich). THANKS!

What is some relatively healthy and filling fast food I could get tonight?

I won’t have time to cook something tonight but I’m trying to eat relatively healthily (lots of whole wheat, veggies , fruits, low fat, etc.). Does anyone know a common fast food place where I could get something that’s both filling but not too bad for you? I ain’t talking about just a salad…I want a balanced meal.

I used to think Chipotle was relatively healthy, but apparently they’re just as bad as the rest. Any ideas?

Where can I find easy vegetarian recipes?

Hey! First of all, I will not be turning vegan any time soon and I probably never will. Also, I am a beginner at cooking, I can stir-fry, marinate, and boil (ha), etc. simple stuff only you know? Well, when I come home, my house is usually empty and there’s no food save for some leftovers, so I usually drop by a fast food place on the way.

Then I watched Super Size Me again and though I’ve seen it before, its message really reached out to me. I’m not overweight or anything – but I do want to eat healthy and I want to kind of learn how to cook as well (especially since I’m going off to college soon).

So I figure, hey why not learn vegetarian recipes? And I’d like some sort of protein in them (beans, soy, etc.) because they will be my lunch. So can you suggest a site or cookbook for simple beginner vegetarian recipes? And hey if you’ve got a good simple recipe, it’d be nice if you could share it!
@billiesblues82: Can I find said book in Borders? I don’t like the shipping fees.
@billiesblues82: There’s two versions it seems, which would you recommend?

Well, if it’s any help, I’m a bit more interested in savory dishes than salads (though I’ll probably try a hand at salads, too)

Healthy alternatives to fast food?

Someone out there must know some healthy alternatives to fast food. I don’t mind going to the supermarket instead of Mc Donalds but I never have any healthy ideas for dinner when I do go. I want something with a short prep time. I think a lot of people are like me and just aren’t sure what to get or can’t/don’t want to spend an hour cooking.

I’m looking for whole meal ideas please. I know the obvious answer would be to buy more veggies etc. but I can’t eat just veggies for dinner, that’s not filling!
