Cooking Utensil Store

I’m looking for a conolli roll. It’s the thing to shape the conollies. Because I want to make some but i don’t have that tube thing. What store can I get it at and where do I figure out if there’s one in my location? Unless you don’t need one and have an alternative way of shaping the conollies with out it. In that case let me hear it.

I’m moving out for the first time with two roommates and we need to purchase just about everything. I’m wondering what brands we should look for that will give us the most out of our money and not break or wear out after a couple of uses.

My budget doesn’t allow for very expensive items. I have a part-time job and I’m in college so I definitely don’t have a lot to spend so I’ll probably be shopping at WalMart and Target and some secondhand stores.

I need:
- Dishes (I was thinking simple white Corelle)
- Silverware
- Cooking utensils (Basic spatulas, etc)
- Cookware

- Towels
- Vacuum
- Washer & dryer

If there is anything else you can think so please feel free to suggest it :]

I ask in this section because i’m pretty sure i can get opinions from women who are mothers.
I’m 15 and i know of two things she’ll like. She loves to cook and is an amazing cook, and i notice, every time we go to like Bed,Bath and Beyond or any home living store, she heads straight for cooking utensils such as pots/pans,so i’m thinking of getting her a pot/pan set that is a very good, high quality and maybe a little expensive(money is no issue). And if i have money left over,i’ll get some extra cooking accessories, such as other cooking utensils(that’ll all be high quality brands),like Measuring cups,Spoons,Ladle,Pizza Cutter, basting brush and etc.

Or i could get her a digital camera, haven’t decided which brand, but i would get her a good one.

So from a mothers perspective, which should i get her?

Looking for packing and traveling trips from someone who has been to China, preferably for an extended stay.
My husband and I will be traveling to Qingdao, China in mid-December, staying until mid-January. We will be staying in a hospital for medical treatments. None of the normal American hotel amenities/toiletries will be provided. Wash service is available for 3-5RMB per article of clothing. How much clothing/toiletries/etc would you bring?
Also, there is a kitchen available for our use, with minimum cooking utensils, but no dining or flatware. There are, of course, locals markets for such things as meat and vegetables, and also a American import food store nearby (although, I don’t know how expensive it might be). What would you bring as far as dining/flatware/foodstuffs?

I bought a Caphalon non-stick skillet at an outlet store location several months ago, and I have really become rather fond of it. Granted, it took me a bit of time to get used to cooking with it [in truth, I still haven't completely mastered it]. I have had it about 6 months and the cooking surface has developed a couple of scratches and dings despite my best efforts and not owning / using any kitchen utensils made of wood or metal.

      1) is the technology improved so that the pan can still be used even though the surface of the pan has been breached? (Remember Teflon coated pans had to be tossed because they leached chemicals into the food from any scratches breaking the surface)

      2) is there a better cookware for non-stick cooking?

Much as I love frying in a bit of butter in my old iron skillet, I have gone non-stick due to health issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      I live on my own
(left my parents home because they were very strict Muslims and wouldn’t let me finish my education) so I so far have
plates, knives, forks, pots, pans (every utensil you can imagine even baking items).

Now for food I’m confused as to cooking.
I have pasta, sauce, cereal, rice, milk, bagels, etc.
But what do I need to cook real dinners? Things that I can make and then store in the fridge for a week and eat. I don’t know how to make those kinds of things and what I need to buy to do it.
      I don’t drink alcohol!

My boyfriend and I have gotten heavily into camping (campground camping, using a tent….no RV) We’ve gotten pretty good at organizing and bringing everything we need without bringing too much extra stuff, but the one thing I haven’t gotten completely nailed down is the best way to carry/transport all the supplies. You know, stuff like cooking utensils, plastic bags for leftovers, paper towels, cans of sterno, etc. I have been just carrying them in those mesh bags that the grocery stores are selling these days for people to us instead of grocery bags. While this gets the job done, I have a feeling there’s a better way to organize my stuff so that I’m not constantly rummaging through bags looking for things. I was considering Rubbermaid-type containers but thought I’d ask for ideas in case others have a really great system to share. Thanks !
