Ingredients
Garlic butter:
2 whole garlic heads
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon finely chopped shallots
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh rosemary
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°.
To prepare garlic butter, remove white papery skin from garlic heads (do not peel or separate the cloves). Wrap each head separately in foil. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes; cool 10 minutes.
Separate cloves; squeeze to extract garlic pulp. Discard skins. Combine garlic pulp, butter, shallots, and rosemary.
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped leek
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 pinch black pepper (optional)
Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat. Saute leeks and garlic until tender and translucent. Stir in cream, and simmer until thickened
Simple and easy.
mince garlic and leeks to a paste consistancy
sweat in pan(optional)
let cool
at to soft butter
roll in plastic wrap
seal ends tight
put in fridge
use when ready.
